Course Description 

The Computer Information Systems program provides students the opportunity to prepare to choose and enter the Information Technology career field of their choice at an introductory level. Course topics include building and repairing device hardware; maintain operating systems such as Windows, Mac, and Linux; configure network equipment and cloud hardware; demonstrate cybersecurity principles including white-hat hacking; and create video games and cloud applications using computer science concepts. 


*Students who enroll in a Computer Information System (CIS) class may now count the class as either a math credit, a science credit, or a practical art credit. However, this credit may not take the place of a required EOC class (Algebra, Biology).
